Do you feel less strong than before?
As if your body is less firm or tires more quickly?
It’s not a matter of willpower.
This is a common symptom of menopause.
Why is this happening?
The drop in oestrogen slows down muscle building.
Fewer hormones = less strength = more fatigue.
With age, we also naturally lose muscle mass.
Result:
- Less muscle tone
- More pain
- Higher risk of falling
What you may feel:
- Feeling of weakness
- Loss of strength in arms or legs
- Tiring more quickly when you move
- Difficulty lifting or carrying things
- Less desire to move… leading to a vicious circle
What helps you regain muscle strength:
- Do gentle strength training 2 to 3 times a week
- Include simple but regular movements
- Choose a diet rich in quality protein: fish, poultry, eggs, tofu, lentils…
- 25 to 30 g of protein per meal
- Get good sleep (yes, even for your muscles!)
- And above all: start small, but start ❤️
Do you recognise yourself here?
You’re not alone.
Many women experience this during menopause.
With small, regular steps, you can regain your strength.
