Weight gain

During menopause, you put on belly fat without understanding why—even without changing your diet or activity? It can feel frustrating, unsettling, unfair. Sometimes your confidence dips. You don’t quite recognize your body.

Why is this happening?

  • When estrogen levels drop, your body changes how it stores fat: it more easily stores it around the abdomen.
  • At the same time your metabolism slows, you lose some muscle and sometimes you move a bit less (fatigue, motivation, pain…).
  • It’s a real cocktail: hormonal, metabolic, emotional.

What you might feel

  • Feeling “bloated,” as if your body no longer feels like yours.
  • Your belly changes, your weight too… with no clear explanation.
  • A sense that nothing you try works.
  • You restrict yourself, yet don’t feel any better.

It’s not about calories

  • It’s not about willpower.
  • It’s about hormones, rhythm, stress, sleep and long-term fatigue. Your body isn’t against you — it’s adapting.
  • And sometimes that means a different way of storing fat.

What can help

  • Eat better, not less: protein, fiber, healthy fats.
  • Move regularly, with pleasure.
  • Keep regular sleep times when you can.
  • Limit hidden sugars and stimulants.
  • Surround yourself and feel supported.
  • Return to a “fair” sense of weight, body, age and aesthetics… no fighting.
  • Just respect for yourself.

What can really make a difference (beyond daily habits)

  • A program with Glucose Monitoring and/or a nutrigenetic test.
  • Since using these tools with women, I’ve seen lasting results:
    • Weight loss (yes, even during menopause!)
    • More self-confidence and self-esteem
    • More everyday joy and calm
  • Because everything becomes personalized. What helps one person may hold another back — no more guessing. Today we can see what suits YOU. And that changes everything, from approach to results!

Do you recognize yourself?

You’re not alone. You may not recognize your body, but it’s still your ally: it’s how you realize your plans and dreams.
The key? Speak to it differently — support it, don’t punish it.
It’s a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. NENU will soon be here to help.
