Your Changing Body

During menopause, many women notice that their body changes: fat tends to accumulate more around the abdomen or is distributed differently. This is largely due to the drop in estrogen, which plays an important role in fat storage.

What changes in your body

Estrogen helps distribute fat to the hips, thighs, and breasts. When these hormones drop during menopause, the body stores more fat around the abdomen. The hormonal decline also slows down the ability to use fat as an energy source. Result: a body shape that becomes more “apple” than “pear.”

What also plays a role

It’s not only about the hormones… With age:

  • Metabolism slows down
  • Muscle mass decreases
  • The body burns fat less efficiently
Stress or lack of sleep can make all of this worse.

What you can do to feel better in your body:

Bring a new balance into your life, step by step.

  • Move regularly (walking, dancing, cycling…)
  • Do strength training
  • Eat a varied and balanced diet (protein, vegetables, fiber…)
  • Limit sugar, alcohol, and highly processed foods
  • Sleep at regular times
  • Breathe, relax, and take good care of yourself

I know how frustrating these physical changes can be. But don’t panic: effective solutions exist such as Glucose Monitoring and DNA testing that truly make a difference. Let NENU and me support you with NENU Balance or NENU Power — if you haven’t tried them yet, now’s the time.
